Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins at 8:00 am when your professional guide collects you from your hotel in Arusha. Enjoy a scenic 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, followed by a full-day wildlife safari. In the evening, continue to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Located approximately 115 km from Arusha, Tarangire National Park spans about 2,800 km². The park takes its name from the Tarangire River, an important water source for wildlife, especially during the dry season. It is renowned for its impressive elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, tree-climbing lions, and large pythons. During your game drive, you may also encounter lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and many other species across the park’s diverse landscapes.
