4-Day Ndutu Calving Season Joining Camping Safari

Arusha – Ndutu Area

Depart Arusha early in the morning and drive towards the Ndutu area, passing through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Upon arrival in Ndutu, begin your first game drive, exploring the plains in search of wildebeest herds, newborn calves, zebras, gazelles and predators following the migration.

In the evening, arrive at Hugo Campsite. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in chore like arrange sleeping equipment, prepare the dining area, collect and organize camping supplies, and assist with setting up the evening campfire. With the safari crew and guide, followed by dinner and relaxation around the camp.

Full-Day Ndutu Calving Season Game Drive

Wake up early for a full day of wildlife exploration in the Ndutu plains. This is the heart of the calving season, offering excellent opportunities to witness wildebeest with their young calves and observe the dramatic predator-prey interactions that make this period so special.

Your experienced guide will follow the movement of the herds and search for lions, cheetahs, hyenas and other wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your game drive into the afternoon.
Then later evening drive back to your campsite for dinner and overnight.

Ndutu – Extended Wildlife Exploration

After breakfast, continue with another full-day game drive around Ndutu. Explore different parts of the plains to maximize your chances of finding active wildlife and migration herds.

The Ndutu landscape is particularly rewarding during the calving season, with large concentrations of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. Keep your eyes open for predators and enjoy the opportunity to photograph the remarkable wildlife and scenery.

Return to your Campsite in the evening and enjoy another authentic camping night. Guests may again assist the crew with camp preparations and tent arrangements before dinner.

Ndutu – Arusha

Enjoy an early breakfast before your final morning game drive in the Ndutu area. Take advantage of the cooler morning hours to search for wildlife and enjoy the final views of the migration herds.

After the game drive, begin your journey back towards Arusha, passing through the beautiful Ngorongoro highlands. Enjoy a picnic lunch along the way before continuing to Arusha.
