Start your day with an early morning game drive through Akagera National Park, when wildlife is most active. Explore the park’s diverse landscapes and look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, and other wildlife.
After a picnic lunch, continue your adventure with a relaxing sunset boat ride on Lake Ihema, where you may spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of waterbirds along the shores.
Return to Karenge Bush Camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, leave Akagera National Park and travel north towards Volcanoes National Park.
Enjoy the changing scenery as you journey through Rwanda’s rolling green hills, terraced farmland, and picturesque countryside.
Upon arrival in the Musanze area, there may be time for an optional visit to the Dian Fossey Campus and Museum to learn about gorilla conservation and Dian Fossey’s legacy.
Continue to your lodge for check-in and a relaxing evening in the foothills of the Virunga Mountains.
