Depart Nairobi early and travel north through Kenya's changing landscapes toward Samburu. The journey passes through agricultural areas and highland scenery before becoming increasingly rugged and dry as you approach northern Kenya. Along the way, you'll experience a striking transition from the busy capital to the remote landscapes surrounding the reserve.

Arrive in the Samburu region and settle into your accommodation before enjoying an afternoon game drive. Explore open plains and riverine habitats while searching for elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Spend the day exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Begin early when wildlife is active and temperatures are cooler, searching for elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and the reserve's distinctive northern species. After breakfast, leave Samburu and travel south toward Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The route takes you through changing landscapes, from the drier northern environment into the greener central highlands of Kenya. The journey provides a scenic transition between two very different wildlife ecosystems.

After arriving and settling into your accommodation, enjoy an afternoon game drive within Ol Pejeta. Search for black and white rhinos, elephants, buffalo, lions, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife. Ol Pejeta's strong conservation focus adds another dimension to the safari, with opportunities to learn about efforts to protect endangered species.

Begin your final morning with an early game drive through Ol Pejeta, providing another opportunity to encounter rhinos, elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, and other wildlife. The cool morning conditions are ideal for wildlife activity and photography. Depending on availability and your interests, an optional conservation experience can also be arranged before departure.

After your final wildlife experience, leave Ol Pejeta and travel back toward Nairobi through the scenic central highlands. The landscape gradually changes from wildlife conservancy to agricultural countryside as you approach the capital. Arrive in Nairobi later in the day, concluding your four-day Kenya wildlife discovery.
