Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch. Continue with the game drive in the middle of the park, where you can expect to see elephant herds of 8 to 18, and sometimes up to 25. During the game drive, don't forget to look up into the trees, as you might spot a leopard. You may also see buffalo, impala, zebra, warthog, giraffe and many more. The park will offer you the opportunity to explore until late evening. Drive to the campsite for dinner and overnight.

Mto Wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park

Have an early breakfast and load all your camping gear into your safari Jeep. Board the safari vehicle and leave camp for the Serengeti via Manyara, through the Rift Valley Escarpment, toward Serengeti National Park. Today, you can visit a Maasai village on your way to the Serengeti. Arrive in the evening, enjoy a game drive, then head to Seronera Campsite for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Wake up early at 6 am and leave the campsite for a morning game drive in the heart of Serengeti National Park, enjoying the beautiful sunrise and spotting wildlife. It will be a bit chilly in the morning, so don’t forget your warm clothes. Continue the game drive, then return to camp for a full breakfast and lunch (brunch). Later, leave camp for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a game drive en route to Ngorongoro Simba A Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

This is your last day on safari in Tanzania! After breakfast, take a short drive to the descent gate, then drive down the crater floor, 650 meters deep, for a half-day game tour. If you are lucky, you will see rhinos. The crater has several permanent residents because it has water year-round; many animals prefer to stay, though they can come in or move out. In the early afternoon, ascend the crater rim back to camp for a hot lunch, then drive to Arusha.

This marks the end of your 4-day Tanzania budget camping safari.
