Day 1

07:00hrs Meet up with our hospitality Representative and your dedicated safari driver guide at your Arusha Hotel/Airport. After introductions and a pre-safari briefing, depart and drive to Tarangire National Park to arrive in the early afternoon for check-in and lunch in the camp with an afternoon at leisure.

Later embark on an afternoon game drive in the park. Tarangire is the sixth largest national park in Tanzania. It is famous for its high density of elephants and baobab trees. Visitors to the park can expect to see large herds of thousands of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo. Other common resident animals include waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant's gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon. Predators in the park include lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Full day in Tarangire with morning and afternoon game viewing drives in the park. Established as a national park in 1970 from former hunting grounds, Tarangire offers a vibrant wildlife experience across a landscape roughly the size of Luxembourg.

Renowned for its vast elephant herds, the park is also home to lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The striking baobab trees scattered throughout the northeastern region creates a dramatic backdrop. The oldest known elephant to give birth to twins is found in Tarangire. A recent birth of elephant twins in the park is a great example of how the birth of these two healthy and thriving twins can beat the odds.

Day 3

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

An early breakfast in the camp and start for Serengeti National Park. drive to Serengeti National Park with game viewing en-route to the camp for check in and lunch followed by free time at leisure.

Serengeti National Park is a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife: over 2 million ungulates, 4000 lions, 1000 leopard, 550 cheetahs and some 500 bird species inhabit an area close to 15,000 square kilometers in size.

Enjoy and afternoon game drive in the park to explore the endless Serengeti plains dotted with trees and kopjes from which majestic lions control their kingdom or find an elusive leopard in a riverine forest. Whether you are looking for big cats, birds or even smaller creatures, Serengeti National Park delivers.

A full day in Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game viewing drive in the park. Apart from the Selous, this is the largest of all the Parks in Tanzania, summed up as 'one of the most unique areas in the world'. The Serengeti contains the largest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, on a scale which has no parallel anywhere in the world.

Even during the height of the migration towards the Masai Mara, there is a huge concentration of plains game in the Reserve, mainly concentrated around the watering places, and with good chances also of seeing the predators at work.

Day 5

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast in the lodge, check-out and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area climbing to an altitude of 8,000 feet with a brief stop at the Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai Gorge the 'Crater of Mankind' is world famous for the Archaeological discoveries made there by Dr. Louis Leakey and Mary Leakey.

You continue to ascend to the exterior of the crater reaching its rim and here, your first glimpse of what has often been referred to as the “Eighth wonder of the World”. Drive on to to your lodge to arrive in time for check-in and lunch with an afternoon at leisure to relax and enjoy a swim.

Day 6

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast in the lodge, depart and drive Ngorongoro conservation area. Descend to the floor of the crater for game viewing drives. Often described as the ‘Eighth’ wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro crater is so spectacular, a natural sanctuary for over 25,000 animals, including the black rhino. It is also a conservation area inhabited by the Masai tribe.

Picnic lunch will be served at one of the designated picnic sites on the crater floor. As the sun sets on the western side of the crater rim, ascend and drive to the Lodge to arrive in time to refresh for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast in the lodge and drive to Arusha to arrive for a farewell lunch at Gran Melia Hotel hosted by Afio Mai Africa Safaris to celebrate your Tanzania Safari adventure.

Later you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your travel back home.
