3-Day Best of Kruger Classic Safari

Transfer from Johannesburg & Sunset/Night safari

Guests will be collected from various lodges and hotels within a 5 km radius of OR Tambo International Airport between 6:30 am and 6:45 am, or from the OR Tambo International Airport shuttle and bus terminal between 6:45 and 7:00 am. We depart at 7:15 am.

Clients can fly directly into Skukuza Airport in the Kruger National Park or to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and be collected by a Kurt Safari guide at no additional cost.

We will travel directly to our lodge in Hazyview and arrive between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm. Guests will have time to relax, unpack, and enjoy a light lunch, before enjoying a swim or a walk around the beautiful lodge gardens or the walking trail. We depart at around 16:00 pm for a Sunset/ Night safari in the Kruger National Park before returning to the lodge at approximately 19:30 to 20:00 pm for a lovely dinner, and a good night’s rest.

Full Day Open Vehicle Safari in the Kruger National Park

All safaris start before sunrise, the best time of day to enter the park and spot wildlife, especially predators. After a short drive, we enter the park, and your guide will take you to areas popular for wildlife sightings.

The lodge provides breakfast packs. After around three hours of game viewing, we stop for breakfast, a bathroom break and coffee before continuing through Kruger’s diverse eco-zones, visiting rivers, watering holes, plains and Bushveld areas, each offering unique wildlife experiences.

Lunch is enjoyed at a rest camp at your own expense, with time for curio shopping or a refreshing drink. We then continue the safari back towards the lodge, arriving around 15:30–16:00, with time to relax, swim and enjoy dinner.

Morning Safari and Transfer back to Johannesburg

On this day you will have your last safari for the trip. Again, we depart from the lodge before sunrise, and we will tuck into another packed breakfast at one of the rest camps or picnic spots. The guide will focus on finding animals we could not find on the first 2 safaris, hoping especially to catch sight of lion and leopard, as they are most active in the early mornings. The Kruger National Park has 148 mammal species and over 500 bird species. So, there is lots to see and photograph.

After a short breakfast and coffee stop, we will continue with the safari, returning to the lodge at around 12 pm.
Here you say goodbye to your guide and freshen up before the journey back to Johannesburg. Clients are collected by the shuttle at around 12:00-12:30 pm, and we return to Johannesburg OR Tambo shuttle terminal and lodges within a 5 km radius, arriving between 17.00 and 18.00 pm.
