Day 1

07:00hrs Meet up with our Hospitality Representative and your dedicated Safari Driver Guide at your Arusha Hotel/Kilimanjaro International Airport. After introductions and a pre-safari briefing, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation area climbing to an altitude of 8,000 feet. You continue to ascend to the exterior of the crater reaching its rim and here, your first glimpse of what has often been referred to as the “Eighth wonder of the World.” Drive on your lodge, Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge for check-in and lunch.
15:00hrs Descend to the floor of the crater for a game viewing drive. Often described as the ‘Eighth’ wonder of the World, the Ngorongoro crater is so spectacular, a natural sanctuary for over 25,000 animals, including the black rhino. It is also a conservation area inhabited by the Masai tribe.
As the sun sets on the western side of the crater rim, ascend and drive to the Lodge to arrive in time to refresh for dinner.

Day 2
Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park

After a sumptuous breakfast, an early morning start to Serengeti National Park with a brief stop at the Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai Gorge the 'Crater of Mankind' is world famous for the Archaeological discoveries made there by Dr. Louis Leakey and Mary Leakey.
Drive on to Serengeti National Park with game viewing en-route to arrive at your lodge, Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge in the early afternoon for check-in.
Lunch in the lodge followed by free time at leisure to relax and enjoy a swim in the lodge’s infinity pool or just marvel at the endless Savannas dotted with wildlife!
Later embark on an afternoon game viewing drive before returning to the lodge in time early evening.

Full day in the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game viewing drive in the park, apart from the Selous, this is the largest of all the Parks in Tanzania, summed up as 'one of the most unique areas in the world'. The Serengeti contains the largest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa, on a scale which has no parallel anywhere in the world.
Even during the height of the migration towards the Masai Mara, there is a huge concentration of plains game in the Reserve, mainly concentrated around the watering places, and with good chances also of seeing the predators at work.

Day 4
Serengeti to Tarangire National Park

An early morning start to Tarangire National Park to arrive in time for check-in and lunch at your lodge.
Later depart for an afternoon game drive in the park. The sixth largest national park in Tanzania. The park derived its name from the mighty Tarangire River that crosses through its beautiful landscape. Visitors to the park can expect to see large herds of thousands of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo. Other common resident animals include waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant's gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon.
Drive back to the lodge in the early evening to re-fresh for dinner.

Day 5

Full day in the park with morning and afternoon game viewing drives at 06:30hrs and 16:00hrs respectively. One of the key attractions that have made Tarangire National Park to become internationally popular is its largest elephant population which in fact is considered to be the highest in the whole of Tanzania.
As the dry season from June to October progresses and terrain becomes even drier, you will see numerous large elephant herds of about 300 individuals per herd digging the dry riverbed of Tarangire River in search for underground streams of water to quench their thirst.
The oldest known elephant to give birth to twins is found in Tarangire. Another unique feature that can prevalently be seen in is the baobab tree also referred to as the Tree of Life. It is ‘gigantic’ in nature and can store within its trunk 300 - 1000 liters of water. They have a long-life span and can survive up to six hundred (600) years.

Day 6

Breakfast in the lodge and drive to Arusha to arrive for a farewell lunch at Serena Mountain Village Arusha compliment of Afio Mai Africa Safaris.
Later you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your travel home.
