Nairobi to Amboseli National Park – Afternoon Game Drive

Your safari begins with a morning departure from Nairobi, driving south towards Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most scenic wildlife destinations. Upon arrival, check in at Amboseli Kibo Safari Camp and enjoy lunch before some time to relax. In the afternoon, head into the park for your first game drive, exploring the open plains and swamps in search of elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes and other wildlife. On a clear day, enjoy spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.

Amboseli National Park Full Game Viewing Drive

After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive through Amboseli National Park, with a packed lunch to enjoy during your safari. Explore the park’s diverse habitats, including open plains, seasonal wetlands and areas surrounding Amboseli Lake, which attract a variety of wildlife. The park is particularly famous for its large herds of African elephants, while sightings may also include lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hippos and numerous bird species. With Mount Kilimanjaro providing a spectacular backdrop, enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing before returning to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Amboseli Morning Game Drive – Return to Nairobi

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before heading out for a final morning game drive in Amboseli National Park. The early hours offer excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing as animals are active in the cooler morning conditions. Continue exploring the park in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and other wildlife, while enjoying the magnificent scenery around Mount Kilimanjaro. After the game drive, exit the park and begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving later in the day and marking the end of your 3-day Amboseli lodge safari.
