Arrival at the Crocodile River and the Kruger National Park and your first Game Drive

Option 1: Leave Johannesburg by 8:30 am with our guide.

Option 2: Be picked up at Kruger airport ex Cape Town or Johannesburg.

Option 3: Pick up at the lodge after your morning safari and breakfast.

Transfer to the lodge on the Crocodile River. Check in to your premium river view room with an en-suite bathroom and open balcony overlooking the river. Relax and take in the view of the Kruger National Park and view wildlife that may be close by. Perhaps have lunch (optional) at the restaurant.

Later this afternoon, depending on the time of year, you will be collected for your sunset safari drive into the KNP, returning later in the evening to have dinner at the lodge. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the bush and connect with nature as you relax under the African stars on the lodge's open deck. Have a late evening swim or buy a drink from the bar. The lodge has Wi-Fi, so you can share your first pictures and messages with friends and family.

Morning OSV, Private Afternoon SUV And Night Game Drives in the Kruger National Park

Arise at dawn and go on your open-vehicle sunrise safari with the park ranger. This is a special time of day as the Kruger awakens and comes to life. Kruger is home to an impressive number of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147 mammals. The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa.

Afterwards, return to the lodge for breakfast and then be collected by your guide and re-enter the Kruger Park in a closed 4x4 vehicle for further private game viewing. Later this afternoon, check into your guesthouse in Komatipoort, just a few minutes' drive from the Crocodile Bridge Gate of the KNP. Enjoy an early dinner and rest. Depart for the night drive in the KNP at 7:30 pm. This area, the "Southern Circle", has a reputation for great lion sightings. A Kruger Park field guide will provide interesting commentary about the nocturnal animals that you. You return to the guesthouse at about 10:30 pm.

Morning Bush Walk with armed ranger and Afternoon Game Drive in Kruger National Park

Arise early this morning and go for a bush walk in Kruger Park. This is a special time of day as the animals awake. Up to 8 guests are taken to interesting places in the surrounding wilderness areas and along the riverbanks. The walk itself is relaxed and experienced, and armed guides use their knowledge of the bush to explain natural wonders. Two armed field guides accompany you on the walk. They will focus on things you usually can't see from a vehicle. By being out on foot, you'll cover an area more intensely, and you can experience nature using all of your senses. If there is any large game in the area, you may have the exhilarating experience of approaching them on foot. Comfortable shoes, and clothing should be natural muted color's. You will Return to the Stoep for breakfast.
Back to Pestana Lodge at the Crocodile River. Lunch is available if required there at the restaurant. In the late afternoon at about 4pm be ready at reception for your evening game drive. Return for dinner.
