Arrival at the Crocodile River and the Kruger National Park - First Game Drive

Option 2: Pick up at Kruger Airport (MQP), arriving from Cape Town or Johannesburg.
Option 3: Pick up at the lodge after your morning safari and breakfast.

Transfer to the lodge on the Crocodile River. Check in to your premium river view room with a bathroom and balcony overlooking the river. Relax and take in the view of the Kruger National Park and view wildlife that may be close by. Perhaps have lunch at the restaurant (optional).

Later this afternoon, depending on the time of year, you will be collected for your shared sunset safari drive into the KNP, returning to the lodge late evening for dinner. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the bush and connect again with nature as you relax under the African stars on the lodge's open deck. Have a late-evening swim or buy a drink at the bar. The lodge has Wi-Fi, so you can share your first pictures and messages with friends and family.

Morning OSV drive, Private Afternoon SUV Drive and Nighttime Game Drive in the Kruger National Park

Arise at dawn and go on your shared open-vehicle sunrise safari with the park ranger. This is a special time of day as the Kruger awakens and comes to life. Kruger is home to an impressive number of species: 336 of trees, 49 of fish, 34 of amphibians, 114 of reptiles, 507 of birds and 147 mammal species. The world-renowned Kruger offers a wildlife experience that ranks among the best in Africa.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and then be collected by your guide and re-enter the Kruger Park in a closed 4x4 vehicle for further private game viewing. Later this afternoon, check into your guesthouse in Komatipoort, just a few minutes' drive from the Crocodile Bridge Gate of the KNP. Enjoy an early dinner and rest. Depart for the night drive in the KNP at 7:30 pm. This area, the "Southern Circle", has a reputation for great lion sightings. A Kruger Park field guide will provide interesting commentary about the nocturnal animals that you see. You return to the guesthouse at about 10:30 pm.

Morning Bush Walk with Armed Ranger and Afternoon Game Drive in Kruger National Park

Arise early and go for a bush walk in Kruger Park. This is a special time of day as the animals awaken. Up to 8 guests are taken to interesting places in the surrounding wilderness areas and along the riverbanks. The walk itself is relaxed and experienced, and armed guides use their knowledge of the bush to explain natural wonders. Two armed field guides accompany you on the walk. They will focus on things you usually don't see from a vehicle. By being out on foot, you'll cover an area more intensely, and you can experience nature using all of your senses. If there is any large game in the area, you may have the exhilarating experience of approaching them on foot. Comfortable shoes and clothing should be natural muted colors. You will return to The Stoep for breakfast.

Proceed to Pestana Lodge at the Crocodile River. Lunch is available at the restaurant if required. In the late afternoon, at about 4 pm, be ready at reception for your shared evening game drive. Return for dinner.

Arise at dawn for another memorable morning shared on an open-vehicle game drive in the Kruger National Park, and to say "arrivederci", "au revoir," "hasta la vista," "auf wiedersehen" - but not goodbye, we hope, to this unequalled global wildlife jewel of a place. Return to Pestana for breakfast.

Our driver will pick you up at approximately 11:00 am and transfer you to either Nelspruit Airport or Johannesburg as arranged, unless you have another request.
