Depart Nairobi early in the morning and travel north through the scenic landscapes of central Kenya towards Samburu National Reserve. Enjoy views of the changing countryside, local communities and the impressive northern Kenya scenery along the way. Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch and check in. After some time to relax, embark on an exciting afternoon game drive in Samburu National Reserve. Explore the reserve’s diverse wildlife and beautiful landscapes while looking for elephants, Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, gerenuks, Beisa oryx, Somali ostriches and other wildlife. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Full-Day Samburu Wildlife Exploration

Wake up early for breakfast before setting out on a full-day game drive in Samburu National Reserve. Explore the reserve’s diverse landscapes along the Ewaso Nyiro River and surrounding plains, with excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing. Search for the famous Samburu Special Five: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich. You may also encounter elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes and numerous bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive before continuing your exploration. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Samburu to Nairobi

Your Samburu wildlife safari ends upon arrival in Nairobi, with drop-off at your preferred location within the city.
