Continue your journey through lush green hills, banana plantations, tea estates, forests, and traditional villages, offering a fascinating glimpse into rural Ugandan life. As you travel toward Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoy the changing landscapes and scenic views along the way. Start your morning with an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience in Kalinzu Forest, a beautiful natural forest renowned for its chimpanzee population and rich biodiversity. Accompanied by experienced local guides, trek through the forest following signs of chimpanzee activity, listening for their calls and watching for movement in the canopy. Once you locate a chimpanzee group, enjoy up to one hour observing their natural behavior, social interactions, feeding, and movement through the forest. After lunch, head to the Kazinga Channel for a relaxing boat safari. Cruise along the waterway as you encounter large pods of hippos, crocodiles resting along the banks, and elephants and buffalo gathering at the water’s edge. The cruise also offers excellent opportunities to spot colorful waterbirds and other wildlife in their natural habitat.

Today, travel through the remote and spectacular Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. During your game drive, explore the open savannah and keep your eyes peeled for lions resting in the branches of large fig trees, as well as topis, elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife. After exploring Ishasha, continue south toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way, watch Uganda’s landscape transform from open savannah plains into rolling, cultivated hills and eventually the misty, forested mountains surrounding Bwindi. The scenic journey offers wonderful views of rural communities, terraced farms, and lush countryside. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, check in, and enjoy a peaceful evening in the heart of Uganda’s gorilla territory, preparing for tomorrow’s unforgettable trekking adventure.

Today is the highlight of your Uganda safari as you embark on an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most important habitats for mountain gorillas. After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the lush rainforest with an experienced guide and trackers. Trek through the dense forest, following trails and signs left by a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take several hours depending on the gorillas’ location and movements. Once you find them, enjoy up to one hour observing their fascinating behavior, from feeding and resting to playing and interacting with one another. After this remarkable encounter, return from the forest and continue your journey toward the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation and an overnight stay.

Begin your day at the tranquil Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most scenic and relaxing destinations. Surrounded by lush, terraced hills and dotted with numerous picturesque islands, the lake provides a peaceful setting to unwind after your gorilla trekking adventure. Enjoy a leisurely morning taking in the beautiful scenery and, if time allows, interact with the local community or simply relax at your lodge. For guests with late evening or night flights, an optional traditional canoe excursion can be arranged at an additional cost, offering a unique way to explore the lake, visit some of its islands, and appreciate the surrounding landscapes from the water. Later, begin your scenic drive back to Entebbe, passing through Uganda’s countryside, with opportunities for a lunch stop and short breaks along the way. Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your memorable Uganda safari.
