A picnic lunch can be enjoyed at a designated location before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Serengeti National Park

Spend another unforgettable day exploring the Serengeti, allowing you more time to discover areas that may not have been covered on the previous day. An early morning game drive offers another opportunity to observe wildlife during the cooler hours, when predators may still be active and herbivores are moving across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Depending on the season and wildlife movements, your guide may take you towards areas where large concentrations of animals are currently found. The Serengeti is constantly changing, making every game drive different. You may encounter elephants moving through woodland, giraffes browsing on acacia trees, buffalo herds grazing, or lions resting beneath the shade. Birdlife is also abundant, adding color and sound to the safari experience. After lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive and enjoy the changing scenery as the sun begins to set.

The journey takes you through beautiful landscapes, with opportunities to see wildlife along the way. Upon reaching the Ngorongoro area, prepare for one of the highlights of your Tanzania safari—the descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is a spectacular natural formation created by the collapse of a large volcanic mountain millions of years ago. Today, its fertile floor supports a remarkable concentration of wildlife. During your game drive, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and, with some luck, the endangered black rhinoceros.
