Cycling the Sugar Cane Trails & Rau Forest
After breakfast, our cycling adventure begins. We leave Moshi and ride towards the TPC sugar cane plantation area, passing through small farms and local communities along the way.
The route gives you an opportunity to see every day rural life as you cycle past schools, mosques, churches and family farms. We continue towards the rice-growing areas, where we make a stop to learn about local rice cultivation. From the rice fields, we continue to a local family home for lunch. You will experience traditional Tanzanian hospitality while enjoying a homemade meal, including pilau, one of the country's much-loved rice dishes.
After lunch, we continue towards Rau Forest, a peaceful area of woodland with rich vegetation and local wildlife. Keep your eyes on the treetops, as there is a chance of spotting black-and-white colobus monkeys moving through the forest.
Our final stop is the historic old railway station, a reminder of the railway's German colonial-era history in the Kilimanjaro region.

Kikuletwa- Chemka Hot spring
Kikuletwa- Chemka Hot spring
After breakfast, we travel to Chemka Hot Springs, also locally known as Kikuletwa Hot Springs, near Rundugai Village.
The name "Chemka" means "boiling" in Swahili and refers to the appearance of the water as it rises from underground. Despite its name, the water is generally warm and pleasant rather than boiling, making the springs an ideal place to relax and swim.
In the middle of the desert, the clear turquoise waters of the spring create a striking natural oasis surrounded by trees and vegetation.
Upon arrival, you will have time to swim in the refreshing natural pool, relax beneath the trees and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. A picnic lunch can be enjoyed during the visit.
Chemka is an excellent way to finish the tour, offering a relaxing contrast to the hiking, cycling and cultural activities of the previous days.
