Our day begins with a visit to the Chagga Live Museum, where you will be introduced to the history, traditions and everyday life of the Chagga people.
The visit offers an authentic look at traditional Chagga life, including the design of traditional homes, farming practices, food, customs and the relationship between the community.
From the museum, we walk through the local coffee and banana farms. Here you will learn about traditional farming methods and discover how coffee is grown and prepared. After breakfast, our cycling adventure begins. We leave Moshi and ride towards the TPC sugar cane plantation area, passing through small farms and local communities along the way.
The route gives you an opportunity to see every day rural life as you cycle past schools, mosques, churches and family farms. We continue towards the rice-growing areas, where we make a stop to learn about local rice cultivation. From the rice fields, we continue to a local family home for lunch. You will experience traditional Tanzanian hospitality while enjoying a homemade meal, including pilau, one of the country's much-loved rice dishes.
After lunch, we continue towards Rau Forest, a peaceful area of woodland with rich vegetation and local wildlife. Keep your eyes on the treetops, as there is a chance of spotting black-and-white colobus monkeys moving through the forest.

Kikuletwa- Chemka Hot spring

After breakfast, we travel to Chemka Hot Springs, also locally known as Kikuletwa Hot Springs, near Rundugai Village.
The name "Chemka" means "boiling" in Swahili and refers to the appearance of the water as it rises from underground. Despite its name, the water is generally warm and pleasant rather than boiling, making the springs an ideal place to relax and swim.
In the middle of the desert, the clear turquoise waters of the spring create a striking natural oasis surrounded by trees and vegetation.
Upon arrival, you will have time to swim in the refreshing natural pool, relax beneath the trees and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. A picnic lunch can be enjoyed during the visit.
Chemka is an excellent way to finish the tour, offering a relaxing contrast to the hiking, cycling and cultural activities of the previous days.
