Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park

After Morning Breakfast you will be picked up by our Representative from Abunda Discoveries Uganda and begin your journey in Kigali with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a significant place of remembrance and learning about the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Explore the exhibitions and peaceful memorial gardens while learning about Rwanda’s history, resilience, reconciliation, and commitment to peace.

After the memorial visit, enjoy lunch in Kigali before beginning your scenic drive north toward Volcanoes National Park. The journey takes approximately 2–3 hours, passing through Rwanda’s beautiful countryside, rolling hills, villages, and agricultural landscapes.

Arrive in the Musanze/Volcanoes area in the afternoon, check in at your lodge, and relax as you prepare for the following morning’s Golden Monkey Trekking experience in the forested slopes of the Virunga Mountains. Volcanoes National Park is one of Rwanda’s key destinations for golden monkey tracking.

Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes NP and transfer Bwindi Impenetrable National NP

Begin the day with an early breakfast before heading into Volcanoes National Park for an exciting golden monkey trekking experience. Accompanied by experienced trackers and park guides, trek through the beautiful bamboo forests in search of the endangered golden monkeys. Enjoy watching these playful primates as they move through the trees and undergrowth, while learning about their behavior and habitat.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest before beginning your scenic transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. Travel through the picturesque countryside toward the Rwanda-Uganda border, complete the border formalities, and continue to Bwindi. Arrive at your lodge in the evening, relax, and prepare for the following day's gorilla trekking adventure.

The journey takes you through scenic countryside and includes a stop at the Uganda–Rwanda border for immigration formalities. Continue to Kigali, where you will be dropped off at your preferred location, marking the end of your memorable 4-day Uganda–Rwanda adventure.
