Drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro

07:00: Meet up with our hospitality representative and your dedicated safari driver-guide at your Arusha hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport. After introductions and a pre-safari briefing, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, climbing to an altitude of 8,000 feet. You continue to ascend to the exterior of the crater, reaching its rim and here, your first glimpse of what has often been referred to as the “Eighth wonder of the World”. Drive to Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge for check-in and lunch.

15:00: Descend to the floor of the crater for a game-viewing drive. Often described as the "Eighth Wonder of the World", the Ngorongoro Crater is spectacular - a natural sanctuary for over 25,000 animals, including the black rhino. It is also a conservation area inhabited by the Maasai tribe.

As the sun sets on the western side of the crater rim, ascend and drive to the lodge to arrive in time to refresh for dinner.

Ngorongoro to Arusha & Departure

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the lodge.

You may opt to visit a traditional Masai village for a cultural experience and photography - Activity payable directly at the village.

Drive on to Arusha to arrive in the early afternoon for a farewell lunch at Serena Mountain Village Arusha, compliment of Afio Mai Africa Safaris. Later, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport to continue your journey home.

Note: A day room to refresh and rest prior to your transfer to the airport can be arranged for a supplement fee.
