Begin your Ethiopian adventure with a domestic flight from Addis Ababa to Arba Minch. Upon arrival, meet your private driver and travel into the beautiful landscapes of southern Ethiopia. Depending on your arrival time, visit the Dorze community in the Gamo Highlands, famous for their traditional bamboo houses, colorful weaving and distinctive cultural traditions.

Day 2

Arba Minch - Konso - Turmi

Arba Minch - Konso - Turmi

After breakfast, drive south toward the Omo Valley, stopping in Konso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the impressive terraced landscapes and visit a traditional Konso village to learn about their unique agricultural system, culture and traditions.
Continue toward Turmi, the heartland of the Hamer people.

Day 3

Karo and Hamer Cultural Experience

Karo and Hamer Cultural Experience

After breakfast, drive toward the Karo villages along the Omo River.
Spend time with the Karo people and learn about their traditional lifestyle, cultural practices, body painting and relationship with the Omo River.
Return toward Turmi for lunch.
In the afternoon Visit a traditional Hamer village and learn about their daily life, livestock, traditional houses, clothing and ceremonies.
Depending on the local schedule, you may have the opportunity to witness a traditional ceremony such as a bull-jumping ceremony or an evening Hamer Evangadi dance. Ceremonies are not guaranteed because they depend on local events and community schedules.
You will also have opportunities for photography and interaction with local communities, always with respect and with your guide's assistance.

Day 4

Dassanech and Nyangatom Cultural Experience

Dassanech and Nyangatom Cultural Experience

Early in the morning, drive toward the Omo River to visit the Dasanech people, who live in the remote area around the Omo Delta near the Ethiopian–Kenyan border. Experience their traditional way of life, homes, clothing and livestock, and learn about their close relationship with the Omo River and surrounding environment.

After the morning visit, return for lunch before continuing to another fascinating community in the southern Omo Valley.

In the afternoon, visit the Nyangatom people, known for their distinctive cultural traditions, traditional body decoration and pastoral lifestyle. Spend time learning about their daily life, social traditions and relationship with the surrounding environment. Your local guide will help facilitate respectful interaction and photography.

After breakfast, begin the scenic journey back toward Arba Minch. The drive passes through changing landscapes and rural communities, providing an opportunity to see another side of southern Ethiopia.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy some free time in Arba Minch or visit a local cultural attraction.

Day 6

Arba Minch - Bale

Arba Minch - Bale

Today, travel north-east toward the Bale Mountains, one of Ethiopia's most important wildlife regions. The journey takes you through spectacular highland landscapes as you gradually climb toward the Bale region.
Arrive around Dinsho or Goba and, time permitting, enjoy an afternoon wildlife walk where you may encounter Mountain Nyala, Menelik's bushbuck, warthogs, Bale monkeys and endemic birds.

Today is one of the highlights of the journey. Drive onto the spectacular Sanetti Plateau, reaching elevations of more than 4,000 metres.
The main objective is to search for the Ethiopian wolf, Africa's rarest canid and one of the world's most endangered carnivores. The plateau is also home to giant mole-rats, endemic birds and other high-altitude wildlife.
Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the extraordinary mountain scenery before returning to your accommodation.
