Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your safari guide will come get you from your lodging. You will travel to Tarangire National Park by car this morning. On smooth tarmac roads, the transit drive takes about two and a half hours. The Tarangire River, which flows through the park, inspired the park's name. During the dry season, this "river of warthogs" serves as the only water supply for wildlife in the area. Elephant families are a well-known feature of the park and are frequently spotted gathering near the river. Giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest are also possible. These creatures are closely pursued by a variety of predators, such as leopards and lions. Tarangire is home to more bird species than any other place on Earth! Here you may observe the enormous and old baobab trees, some of which are thought to have lived for almost a millennium. There will be a picnic area within the park for lunch. You will travel to your Karatu lodging following your game drive.

You will travel up into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area's colder areas after breakfast. There will be an opportunity to pause and view the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. After that, you will enter the southern part of the park and go via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti.

The Serengeti National Park is just amazing! It is well-known for its expansive open grasslands, which make it a great place to see wildlife. Although it has a wide variety of fauna, it's amazing yearly migration is arguably its most famous feature. Ngorongoro Crater, a natural ecosystem with expansive savanna, pockets of acacia woodland, shimmering lakes, and wetlands, is hidden by steep volcanic walls. Two to three million years ago, a massive volcano erupted and crashed in on itself, creating the crater. The trip into the crater is an adventure in and of itself, and once you get to the crater floor, you'll be surrounded by a lot of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and more than 500 different kinds of birds. The endangered black rhino, which can occasionally be seen in the open grasslands, is most likely to be seen in the crater.

Day 6

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

Your last stop on this incredible safari will be Lake Manyara National Park, a tiny but varied park located 120 kilometers west of Arusha. You will drive there this morning. Everything in this place is scaled differently. The Great Rift Escarpment looms over the western edge of Lake Manyara, making it both compact (one of Africa's narrowest parks) and epic. A tiny salt lake is the park's namesake. Thousands of wading birds, including flamingos and more than 500 other bird species, call this vast section of the park home. It floods and dries with the seasons. You may see baboons and elephants in the park’s thick evergreen forest and look out for the tree-climbing lions that have become famous throughout Africa.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park. After your game drive, we will drop you off at a place you choose, e.g., Arusha, Kilimanjaro International Airport, or Arusha Airport.

Main Destination:
Lake Manyara National Park
Best Time To Visit June to October (Easier to spot animals)
