Upon arrival at the airport or your hotel, you will be welcomed by our professional English speaking driver guide, who will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda's premier safari destinations. The drive takes you through varied landscapes rich in wildlife, home to chimpanzees, over 600 bird species, and a wide range of big game. You will break for lunch along the way and arrive at the park in the late afternoon. Once you have checked in and settled, there may be time for a late afternoon or evening game drive, depending on what time you arrive.

Day 2

Game Drive and Launch Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

You will begin the day with an early breakfast before setting out for an exciting morning game drive across the Kasenyi plains, keeping an eye out for cape buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, and other wildlife. Once the morning drive is done, you will return to your accommodation to rest and have lunch.

In the afternoon, you will set off on a scenic two hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. Along the way you can expect to spot hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and numerous bird species lining the water's edge.

After the cruise, you will have the choice to head back to the lodge to relax or fit in a late afternoon game drive before winding down for the evening.

Day 3

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha

You will enjoy a relaxed breakfast before setting off for the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its tree climbing lions. Sightings happen roughly 60 to 70 percent of the time, though spotting them can be tricky when they are out hunting in the grasslands. If you catch them resting up in the trees, it makes for an unforgettable sight. From Ishasha you will continue on to the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will check into your accommodation and settle in for the evening, ready for the gorilla trekking adventure that awaits the next day.

Day 4

You will start the day with breakfast before heading to the rangers post for a briefing on trekking rules. From there you will make your way into the stunning Bwindi Forest, where dramatic scenery and thick vegetation open onto animal trails. The trek itself varies in terrain and duration until you locate a gorilla group, after which you will spend an unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants. Once the trek is complete, you will travel on to Lake Bunyonyi, a spot framed by lush hills and scattered with 29 enchanting islands, offering stunning views all around.

You will start the day with a relaxed breakfast at your accommodation, taking in the beautiful views of Lake Bunyonyi's small islands. Afterward, you will begin the journey back to Entebbe Airport, stopping for lunch along the way. There will also be a stop at the Uganda Equator line marker in Kayabwe for photos and a chance to browse local art pieces. Continuing the journey, you will arrive at the airport in the late afternoon or evening, with a recommended departure flight time of 6pm or later.
