Transfer to Nyungwe National Park and Kings Palace Museum

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our company representative. After breakfast at leisure, you will begin your scenic drive towards Nyungwe Forest National Park in southwestern Rwanda.

En route, you will visit the King’s Palace Museum in Nyanza, where you will discover Rwanda’s rich cultural heritage, royal traditions, and the history of the Rwandan monarchy. After the visit, you will enjoy lunch en route before continuing your journey through Rwanda’s beautiful countryside towards Nyungwe.

Upon arrival, you will check in at your hotel, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the rainforest.

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Ken Barham Guest House.

Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk

You will wake up early for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking experience in Nyungwe Forest National Park. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will venture deep into the rainforest in search of chimpanzees, observing these fascinating primates as they interact in their natural habitat.

After this exciting wildlife encounter, you will return for lunch and some time to relax before heading out for an exhilarating Canopy Walk experience in the afternoon. Suspended high above the forest floor, the spectacular canopy walkway offers breathtaking panoramic views of the lush rainforest, rolling hills, and the incredible biodiversity of Nyungwe from above.

After your canopy walk, you will return to your accommodation to unwind and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the rainforest.

Tea Experience and Return back to Kigali

You will enjoy breakfast at your hotel and some leisure time surrounded by the peaceful beauty of Nyungwe Forest. Later, you will embark on a memorable Tea Experience: From Crop to Cup at one of the tea plantations surrounding the forest. Discover the journey of tea from the lush green fields to your cup as you learn about tea cultivation, harvesting, and processing, followed by a delightful tea-tasting experience.

After this enriching cultural experience, you begin your scenic drive back to Kigali, enjoying the beautiful landscapes of Rwanda along the way.

Upon arrival in Kigali, you will be dropped off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport for your onward departure, marking the end of your unforgettable 3-day Rwanda adventure.
