Explore the open plains, seasonal lakes, and surrounding woodlands with your experienced safari guide, looking for elephants, giraffes, gazelles, ostriches, and abundant birdlife. Your guide will follow wildlife activity and select the best areas for viewing and photography.
At midday, enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, return to your accommodation in the Ndutu area for dinner and an overnight stay after a rewarding day of wildlife exploration.

Southern Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Begin your day with an early breakfast at your accommodation in Ndutu before leaving the Southern Serengeti and travelling towards the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy the changing scenery as the open plains gradually transition into the dramatic volcanic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Along the way, watch for wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, and other wildlife. Upon arrival at Ngorongoro Crater, descend into the ancient volcanic caldera for a memorable game drive. The crater floor is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, and, with luck, the endangered black rhino.
Pause for a picnic lunch in the crater before continuing your exploration. Later, ascend from the crater and proceed to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay, ready for your final safari day in Tarangire National Park.

Pause for a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, depart Tarangire and drive to Arusha, where you will proceed to Arusha Airport (ARK) for your flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, continue with the beach portion of your Tanzania journey.
