You will negotiate moss-covered rocks, exposed roots and slippery sections of the trail.

From Nyamileju Rock Shelter, weather permitting, you may enjoy magnificent views of Mount Stanley and Mount Speke. The landscape gradually changes as you enter the giant heather zone, where enormous lobelias, groundsels and other unusual Afro-alpine plants dominate the scenery.
