This seven-day Central Circuit adventure takes experienced trekkers through tropical rainforest, bamboo forest, giant heather zones, high-altitude bogs and glacial terrain before reaching Margherita Peak at 5,109 metres. Margherita is the highest point of Mount Stanley and the third-highest summit in Africa. The climb is physically demanding, particularly the summit section, and requires excellent fitness, appropriate equipment and the support of experienced mountain guides.
