Your driver-guide will pick you up from Entebbe and begin the scenic journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Travel through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, passing bustling towns, farmland and rolling hills. Stop at the Equator for photographs and lunch en route before continuing towards the park. Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge and relax as you prepare for the next day’s wildlife experiences.

Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel

Begin with an early morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, leopards, and numerous bird species while enjoying the park’s open savannah scenery. Return to the lodge for lunch before taking an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Watch hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes near the shoreline, together with pelicans, kingfishers, African fish eagles and other waterbirds. Afterwards, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

After breakfast, transfer to Kalinzu Forest Reserve for a guided chimpanzee trekking experience. Following a briefing, walk beneath the forest canopy with an experienced guide while searching for habituated chimpanzees. You may also encounter black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, and various forest birds. Once the chimpanzees are located, observe their behaviour and social interactions from a safe distance. After the trek, enjoy lunch and continue through the scenic landscapes of southwestern Uganda to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, and prepare for the following day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience

After an early breakfast, report to the Bwindi Park headquarters for registration and a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. Join an experienced ranger-guide and trek through the rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The walk may take several hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, spend one unforgettable hour observing their behaviour, family interactions and feeding habits from a safe distance. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later, enjoy a Batwa cultural experience, where community members share their traditional forest lifestyle, hunting techniques, medicinal plant knowledge, songs and dances. Your visit supports local livelihoods and helps preserve Batwa cultural heritage. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a scenic drive through southwestern Uganda to Kigali, crossing the Uganda–Rwanda border en route. Your driver-guide will transfer you to Kigali International Airport in time for your departure flight, marking the end of your safari.
