Day 1
Windhoek to Sesriem
Windhoek to Sesriem
Your private guide will collect you from your Windhoek accommodation in the morning. After a short safari briefing, depart southwards towards the Namib Desert, travelling through the scenic central highlands and across the dramatic landscapes surrounding the Naukluft Mountains.
Regular comfort and photographic stops will be made along the way, with lunch enjoyed en route or after arrival. During the afternoon, check in at Desert Camp or Desert Quiver Camp, both situated conveniently near the entrance to Sossusvlei.
If time permits, head out with your guide to explore Sesriem Canyon, a fascinating natural gorge carved by the Tsauchab River. Alternatively, enjoy a relaxed sunset stop overlooking the desert plains.
Return to camp for dinner and your first peaceful night in the Namib Desert.

Day 2

Depart before sunrise with your guide to enter the Namib-Naukluft Park in the beautiful early-morning light. Travel along the dune corridor, where the rising sun gradually illuminates the enormous red dunes on either side of the road.
Stop at Dune 45, where guests may climb part or all of the dune for wonderful panoramic views.
Walk into Deadvlei, an ancient white clay pan famous for its dark camel-thorn trees and dramatic backdrop of towering red dunes. Guests looking for a more active experience may climb part of Big Daddy, while others can explore the pan with the guide at a more relaxed pace.
Continue to Sossusvlei, where your guide will explain how the landscape was shaped by water, wind and shifting sand. A packed breakfast and picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the excursion, with plenty of time allowed for photography and exploration.

Day 3

Sossusvlei back to Windhoek
Enjoy an early breakfast before checking out and beginning the return journey to Windhoek. Travel through the Namib’s open plains and mountain scenery, with comfort and refreshment stops arranged along the way.
Depending on the selected route and available time, stop at Solitaire, a small desert settlement known for its rustic character and famous apple pie. Lunch will be enjoyed en route before continuing directly to Hosea Kutako International Airport.
Upon arrival at the airport, your guide will assist with unloading the luggage and say farewell, marking the end of your private Sossusvlei safari.
