Your safari begins in Kasane with a warm meet and greet upon arrival, followed by check-in at Chobe House. Take time to settle in and refresh before heading out at 3:30 PM for a spectacular 3-hour birding boat cruise along the famous Chobe River. Gliding through the calm waters, you will have prime opportunities to observe and photograph a diverse array of waterbirds in their natural habitat, including African Skimmers, Fish Eagles, and colorful kingfishers against a breathtaking African sunset. After an rewarding afternoon of birdwatching, return to the lodge to unwind for the evening.

Kasane

Spend a full, immersive day exploring the rich ecosystems along the Chobe Riverfront within Chobe National Park. Known for hosting one of Africa’s highest concentrations of birdlife and wildlife, this section of the park offers exceptional opportunities for both seasoned birders and nature enthusiasts. Guided game drives along the floodplain reveal iconic species such as the African Skimmer, African Fish Eagle, and a variety of herons, storks, and kingfishers navigating the waterways. Between tracking key target birds and observing big game, including massive elephant herds visiting the river's edge, you will experience the vibrant biodiversity that makes Chobe a world-renowned safari destination. Depart Kasane for a transfer to the game-rich Khwai River area, a vital ecosystem bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. As you travel through shifting landscapes, keep your eyes open for diverse bird species and passing wildlife. Upon arrival, settle into camp before embarking on focused birding along the Khwai River's edge and surrounding riverine woodlands. This region offers prime habitat for key target species, including the elusive Pel’s Fishing Owl and the stately Wattled Crane. Spend the afternoon tracking these iconic birds and soaking in the tranquil wilderness before retiring to the campsite.

Begin your final day with an early morning birding walk in Moremi, providing a rare on-foot perspective to spot shy bushveld species and listen for morning calls. After completing your final 350+ species checklist with your guide, set off on a scenic drive toward Maun. Arrive in Maun around 11:00 AM, concluding an incredible 5-day safari with a drop-off at Maun Airport for your onward travel.
