Visit the National Museum of Ethiopia, home to the famous fossil remains of Lucy. Continue to Merkato, one of the largest open-air markets in Africa, where you can experience the lively atmosphere and everyday life of the capital.

Flight to Gondar & Gondar City Tour

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Gondar.

Upon arrival, meet your guide and begin exploring this historic city, which served as the capital of Ethiopia for several centuries.

Visit the Royal Enclosure (Fasil Ghebbi), the former imperial palace complex, followed by Fasilides’ Bath and Debre Birhan Selassie Church, famous for its beautiful ceiling paintings.

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Ethiopian dinner and coffee ceremony.

Gondar to Simien Mountains – Sankaber

After breakfast, drive from Gondar to Debark, the gateway to Simien Mountains National Park.

After completing the park formalities, continue into the mountains toward Sankaber.

Begin a short afternoon hike along the spectacular escarpment, enjoying views of the deep valleys and dramatic cliffs. There may also be opportunities to see Gelada baboons.

Trekking: Approximately 3–4 hours

Overnight: Sankaber Camp.

Sankaber to Geech – Jinbar Waterfall

After breakfast, begin trekking from Sankaber toward Geech Camp.

The trail follows the spectacular mountain escarpment and passes through beautiful highland scenery.

Visit Jinbar Waterfall, where the river drops dramatically into the valley. Continue to Geech Camp and enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings.

Start early and trek toward Imet Gogo, one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Simien Mountains.

After the trek, meet your vehicle and drive back toward Gondar.

Depending on road and trekking conditions, arrive in Gondar in the evening.
