Arrive at Waterberg Biosphere

Upon arrival at Johannesburg (JNB) or Lanseria (HLA) Airport, you'll make your way to the car hire kiosk where you can hire a car. You'll drive approx. 3 hours towards Vaalwater to Kaingo Game Reserve and check into your lodge for a 4-night stay. It is situated in the Waterberg Region which is one of the few UNESCO-recognized biosphere reserves on the planet and is the only savanna biosphere reserve in the world. On arrival, cocktails and snacks await you at this traditional safari lodge, built from natural stone with thatch roofs. After settling in, you will enjoy a sunset game drive to experience first-hand the twilight beauty of the African bush and its wild creatures. Then, you will go back to the lodge for dinner accompanied by the unparalleled orchestra and chorus of the wild African night, making your first night in the bush unforgettable. Your day starts before dawn if you want to see wildlife when they are most active in the cool early mornings or late afternoons. You will be served strong coffee and one of South Africa’s iconic snacks, homemade rusks, to see you through your game drive to breakfast. After breakfast each day, you are free to laze around, go swimming, or take a nap. You can also opt to reserve one of the recommended activities. Your lunch will be followed by the sunset game drive, then back at the lodge where you will be treated to a delicious dinner. Your overnight stay will be at Royal Morubisi Lodge.
