Day 1
Arusha National Park

Your safari begins in the morning when your guide meets you at your hotel in Arusha. Within an hour you are in Arusha National Park with Mount Meru rising above the forest. Highlight: your walking safari. Step out of the vehicle with an armed ranger and feel the wild at your own pace. You hear the leaves smell the grass and suddenly giraffes are standing just ahead of you calm and curious. Colobus monkeys leap through the trees above. Later we drive to the Momella Lakes where flamingos paint the shore pink and enjoy a picnic lunch with a view. In the afternoon you return to Arusha tired in the best way for a warm dinner and a good night's sleep.

Day 2
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park
Wake up early, because today belongs to the elephants. After breakfast we drive to Tarangire National Park and as the sun climbs, the land turns golden. Elephant herds under ancient baobab trees. Picture mothers guiding tiny calves to the river while giant baobabs stand over them some older than a thousand years. Your guide finds the best spots and you may also see lions resting in the shade giraffes crossing the road and wildebeest and zebra everywhere. We stop for a picnic lunch in the park then enjoy the soft afternoon light the best time for photos. As the day ends we drive to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and rest with the Rift Valley escarpment around you.

Day 3
Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park
Your last morning takes you to Lake Manyara National Park, just minutes from Mto wa Mbu. You enter a cool green forest where blue monkeys play above you and baboons sit along the road. Then the trees open to the lake, with hippos bathing in the water and flamingos and pelicans along the shore. With luck you may even spot one of Manyara's famous tree-climbing lions. After a picnic lunch we visit a Maasai boma (village). You are welcomed with a traditional song and dance see how families live and hear about their customs and daily life. Then we drive back to Arusha, about 2.5 hours, and your guide drops you at your hotel or the airport.
