Day 1

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your Bald Eagle Safaris guide will meet you at your hotel in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park.
Upon entering the park, begin your first game drive through diverse landscapes of open grasslands, seasonal swamps, river valleys, and towering baobab trees.
While Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, today's safari will also introduce you to its remarkable birdlife. Your guide will assist in locating and identifying different species and will allow sufficient time for photography whenever interesting opportunities arise.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park's scenic picnic sites before continuing your afternoon exploration.
In the late afternoon, proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, begin a full day of exploration in Tarangire.
The early morning is particularly rewarding for bird photography, with active birdlife and beautiful natural light providing excellent photographic conditions.
Accompanied by your specialized birding guide, spend the day exploring Tarangire's diverse habitats in search of its remarkable birdlife. Your guide will assist with locating and identifying species while allowing sufficient time for bird photography.
Tarangire is home to over 550 recorded bird species, making it one of Tanzania's premier birdwatching destinations.
Depending on seasonal conditions, you may encounter hornbills, rollers, bee-eaters, starlings, weavers, raptors, ostriches, and many other species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your afternoon birdwatching and wildlife exploration.
Return to your lodge in the evening.

Day 3

Today is dedicated to birdwatching and bird photography in Tarangire National Park. Together with your specialized birding guide, explore different habitats including woodland, grassland, riverine areas and seasonal wetlands in search of a variety of species.
After an early breakfast, depart with your specialized birding guide for another morning of birdwatching. Rather than rushing between sightings, the day can be paced around photography, giving you time to observe behavior, identify species, and wait for suitable photographic opportunities.
Your guide will help search for species in different habitats, including woodland, grassland, riverine areas, and around seasonal water sources.
There will also be opportunities for selected wildlife encounters, particularly elephants and other animals encountered during the birding excursions.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing the afternoon exploration.
Return to Tarangire Safari Lodge for your final night in the area.

Day 4

Tarangire – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning activity in Tarangire before departing for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
The journey takes you through the beautiful landscapes of northern Tanzania, with opportunities for scenic photography along the way.
Continue towards the Ngorongoro Highlands and arrive at Embalakai Camp, your base for the next three nights.
After check-in, enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the camp and the highland environment. Depending on your arrival time, there may be an opportunity for some relaxed birdwatching around the camp.

Ngorongoro Crater – Full-Day Wildlife & Bird Photography

After an early breakfast, descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive.
The crater offers an extraordinary concentration of wildlife within its enclosed ecosystem. During the day, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, and, with luck, the endangered black rhinoceros.
The crater is also home to a variety of bird species, particularly around the wetlands and Lake Magadi.
Your private guide will provide opportunities to photograph both wildlife and birds while exploring different parts of the crater.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before continuing your afternoon game drive.
Later, ascend from the crater and return to Embalakai Camp.

Today is designed as a more relaxed birdwatching and photography day around the Ngorongoro Highlands.
After breakfast, spend the day exploring the Ngorongoro Highlands with your specialized birding guide, focusing on birdwatching and photography across the area's highland, woodland and grassland habitats, explore the surrounding highland environment, searching for bird species associated with forest, woodland, open grassland, and cultivated areas.
The change in habitat from Tarangire provides an opportunity to photograph species that may not have been encountered during the first part of the safari.
Your guide will assist with identification and help you make the most of the available photographic opportunities.
The remainder of the day can be spent enjoying the beautiful highland scenery and relaxing at camp.
