Day 1

Nairobi - Lake Naivasha

Depart Nairobi in the morning and travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley toward Lake Naivasha. Enjoy spectacular views of the escarpment and surrounding landscapes before arriving at your lodge. Check in and enjoy lunch before beginning your afternoon experience on the lake.

Take a relaxing boat ride across Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake surrounded by acacia woodland and dramatic Rift Valley scenery. Watch for hippos resting in the water and numerous bird species, including African fish eagles, pelicans, herons, and cormorants.

Continue to Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, and waterbucks. With no large predators on the island, it offers a unique opportunity to experience wildlife on foot. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Enjoy breakfast before departing Lake Naivasha for nearby Lake Nakuru National Park. The short journey takes you through the beautiful Great Rift Valley landscapes toward one of Kenya’s renowned wildlife sanctuaries.

Upon arrival, enter the park and enjoy a game drive as you make your way toward your lodge. Check in and enjoy lunch before relaxing.

In the afternoon, head out for an extended game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park. Search for the park’s famous black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, buffaloes, zebras, waterbucks, and other wildlife. The park is also an excellent destination for birdwatching, with diverse species found around the lake and surrounding woodland. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out and depart Lake Nakuru for the legendary Maasai Mara. Travel through the scenic Kenyan countryside and Great Rift Valley, enjoying changing landscapes as you head toward the Mara.

Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch. After some time to relax, embark on your first afternoon game drive across the Mara’s famous golden savannahs.

The reserve is renowned for its extraordinary concentration of wildlife. Keep your eyes open for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and numerous antelope species. As the afternoon light turns golden across the plains, continue your wildlife search before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Rise early and enjoy a full day of unforgettable wildlife exploration in the Maasai Mara. Set out with your professional safari guide for extensive morning and afternoon game drives across the reserve’s open grasslands, riverine areas, and wildlife-rich plains.

Search for the Big Five and other iconic species while enjoying the spectacular scenery of the Mara ecosystem. Between July and October, the reserve may offer opportunities to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, when enormous herds move through the region.

Enjoy a packed picnic lunch in the reserve, allowing you to spend more time in the wilderness before continuing your game drive until sunset. Continue through the Kenyan countryside, enjoying the final views of the savannah and surrounding landscapes. Stop for lunch en route before continuing toward Nairobi.

Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon or early evening and transfer to your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Your 5-day Naivasha, Nakuru, and Maasai Mara safari ends with wonderful memories of Kenya’s wildlife, landscapes, and unforgettable wilderness experiences.
