Full Day Sossusvlei and Deadvlei Excursion

Rise early for a full-day guided excursion into the heart of the Namib Desert, visiting the towering red sand dunes of Sossusvlei, some of the highest in the world. Explore the surreal white clay pan of Deadvlei, studded with centuries-old blackened camel thorn trees set starkly against the orange dunes and blue sky, and have the opportunity to climb the famous Big Daddy dune, one of the tallest in the area. There is ample time to wander among the dunes and take in the dramatic desert scenery before returning to the lodge in the afternoon. Optional activities may be available locally at an extra cost, after which you settle in for dinner and a second overnight stay at Namib Desert Lodge.
