Day 1

Diani Beach to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary & Salt Lick

Diani Beach to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary & Salt Lick

05:30 AM – 06:00 AM: Early morning pick-up from your Diani Beach hotel or residence by your private professional driver-guide in a customized safari van.

06:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Scenic drive inland via the Mombasa-Nairobi highway toward Voi and the Taita Hills sanctuary (approx. 3.5 to 4 hours).

11:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Arrive at the sanctuary and enjoy a mid-morning game drive en route to the lodge.

12:30 PM – 02:30 PM: Check-in, welcome, and a delicious lunch at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, followed by time to relax or view animals from the lodge's unique underground tunnel and bunker.

03:30 PM – 06:30 PM: Afternoon game drive across the sanctuary plains to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and zebras before returning for dinner before sunset. Night game viewing continues right from your stilted vantage point over the floodlit waterhole.

06:00 AM – 08:00 AM: Early morning sunrise game drive to catch predators and wildlife when they are most active.

08:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Return to the lodge for a full buffet breakfast, followed by checkout.

10:30 AM – 01:00 PM: Final exit game drive as you leave the sanctuary and begin the return drive toward the coast.

01:00 PM – 05:00 PM: En route lunch stop and scenic afternoon drive back along the highway, concluding with a drop-off at your hotel or preferred location in Diani.
