Arusha is the safari capital of the country and a bustling tourism-driven city. Your driver-guide will meet you in Arusha or at Arusha Airport, and together, you will begin the transfer to Tarangire National Park. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River, which crosses the park and is the primary source of fresh water for wildlife. This quiet park is famous for its elephant migration, birdlife, and authentic safari atmosphere. You will enjoy a packed lunch at midday, and at the end of the afternoon’s game drive, you will make your way to your budget accommodation.

Day 2

Be sure to wake up early today so there is no delay on your descent into the famous Ngorongoro Crater. As soon as you arrive in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be amazed by the beauty around you. Even more so when you reach the crater's edge and take in the fantastic view of one of the world's natural wonders.

The crater of this inactive volcano is approximately 3 million years old, covers 20 km², and is the largest unbroken volcanic caldera in the world. Due to its natural borders, the wildlife in the crater is amazing. The crater is home to the Big Five and offers an excellent chance to spot the rare black rhino. Throw hyenas, zebras, buffalos, and elephants into the mix, and you have the perfect canvas for a pretty awesome safari experience! At the end of the afternoon, you head to your accommodation for a well-deserved night's rest.

Lake manyara and return to kilimanjaro airport

After breakfast, depart from Eileen in the morning and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Explore the park’s beautiful landscapes and diverse wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, and a variety of bird species.

After the game drive, drive back towards Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your safari experience.
