Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and drive toward the Masai Mara, with a scenic journey through Kenya's Great Rift Valley. Continue through rural landscapes and Maasai communities before reaching the reserve in time for lunch. After settling into your lodge or tented camp, head out for your first afternoon game drive across the Mara's open savannah. Look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, antelopes and big cats before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.

Full-Day Masai Mara Game Drive

Enjoy an early breakfast before setting out for a full-day game drive across the Masai Mara. Explore different sections of the reserve in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, hippos and other wildlife. Carry a picnic lunch and spend much of the day exploring the savannah, with opportunities for photography and birdwatching. During the migration season, you may witness large concentrations of wildebeest and zebra and, conditions permitting, dramatic river-crossing activity.
