Nairobi to Masai Mara

Depart Nairobi in the morning and travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley toward the Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy beautiful views of Kenya’s countryside and the dramatic Rift Valley landscapes along the journey. Continue to the Mara and arrive at your lodge or camp, where you will check in and enjoy lunch. After some time to relax, head out for an exciting afternoon game drive across the reserve’s vast golden plains. Search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and other wildlife as your safari begins. As the sun sets over the savannah, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Full-Day Masai Mara Safari

Enjoy a full day exploring the spectacular Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Rise early to take advantage of the cooler hours when wildlife is particularly active. Explore the reserve’s open grasslands, riverine areas, and wildlife-rich plains in search of the Big Five and other species. Between July and October, the Mara can offer incredible opportunities to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch inside the reserve, allowing you to spend more time in the wilderness before continuing your game drive until sunset. Optional experiences include a sunrise hot-air balloon safari and Maasai village visit at an additional cost. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a final morning game drive as you leave the Masai Mara. Exit the reserve and begin your journey back to Nairobi through the scenic Kenyan countryside. Stop for lunch en route before continuing the journey. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon or early evening and transfer to your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Masai Mara safari.
