After breakfast, meet your private safari guide and drive towards Tarangire National Park, one of northern Tanzania's most distinctive wildlife areas. As you enter the park, the landscape changes to open woodland dotted with enormous baobab trees. Spend the day on a game drive following the Tarangire River, where elephants, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest and buffalo gather, particularly around water. Your guide will choose the route according to wildlife activity and the season. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your afternoon game drive and later heading to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before leaving Tarangire and travelling towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The scenery gradually changes as you climb from the dry woodland into the cooler, greener highlands. Start early and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a spectacular natural amphitheatre and one of Tanzania's most concentrated wildlife areas. Your private safari vehicle takes you across the crater floor, where grasslands, woodland and wetlands support large numbers of animals throughout the year. Look for lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, zebra and wildebeest, with a chance of seeing the endangered black rhinoceros.
