An early morning start takes you into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, just as the soft morning light begins to illuminate the landscape. After a scenic descent through the forest, pause at the crater rim to admire the breathtaking views before continuing down to the caldera floor.

Known for its remarkable concentration of wildlife, the crater offers the chance to see elephants, buffalo, zebra, lions and, with some luck, the resident black rhino. Cheetahs may also be spotted, although they are less predictable. Enjoy a stop at Lake Magadi, where hippos gather near the water and birdlife fills the shoreline.
