Nairobi – Lake Nakuru

Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi in the morning and descend into the Great Rift Valley, with sweeping escarpment views along the way. Arrive at Sarova Woodlands Hotel in time for lunch, then set out on an afternoon game drive. Watch for white and black rhino, Rothschild's giraffe, buffalo and lions as the light turns golden over the lake. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park on your way out. Then head west through the Rift Valley and Narok towards the Maasai Mara, with lunch along the way. Arrive in the afternoon in time for your first Mara game drive, searching for lion, cheetah, elephant and zebra as the sun sinks low. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Enkorok Mara Camp.

Maasai Mara

Rise early for a full day of game viewing in the Maasai Mara, heading out while the plains are alive with activity. Enjoy a picnic lunch out in the reserve with the savannah stretching to the horizon, then continue with an afternoon game drive, tracking big cats, elephant herds, hippo and giraffe.
