Day 1

Johannesburg To Kruger National Park (Satara Rest Camp)

Johannesburg To Kruger National Park (Satara Rest Camp)

Your journey begins with a 7:45 am transfer from O.R. Tambo Airport to Hoedspruit, a charming town just outside Kruger. Here you will get to enjoy a delicious lunch.

After lunch, we’ll board an open safari vehicle and head towards Orpen Gate of Kruger National Park. The excitement builds as we embark on a leisurely game drive from the gate to Satara Camp. Keep your eyes peeled for your first Kruger wildlife sightings, as the park’s diverse flora and fauna unfold around you.

Satara, situated in Kruger’s vast grasslands, is known for its abundant grazing animals, from wildebeest to zebras, attracting predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas. This makes it one of the best places for predator sightings, earning it the title of "Predator Capital of Kruger."

We’ll arrive at Satara just after sunset, where you can unwind and enjoy the camp’s peaceful ambiance. While you settle into your accommodations, our chef will prepare a delicious dinner for you to enjoy under the African sky.

Day 2

Kruger National Park (Satara Rest Camp)

Kruger National Park (Satara Rest Camp)

We begin at sunrise, heading out in our open safari vehicle to explore areas known for high animal activity. Kruger is home to the legendary Big 5—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—as well as more species of large mammals than any other African reserve. With some luck, today might bring magical sightings you’ll never forget.

After an exciting early drive, we stop at a scenic picnic site where your guide will serve a delicious bush breakfast with a view. Then it’s back to camp for a bit of rest and relaxation—swim in the pool, stroll the camp grounds, or simply soak up the atmosphere. Lunch is freshly prepared at camp before we head back out for a thrilling afternoon safari.

As golden hour sets in, we return to Satara, where your chef will prepare a traditional dinner over an open fire. Tonight, you’ll dine under the stars before setting out on a Kruger night drive, searching for elusive nocturnal animals like leopards, hyenas, porcupines, and honey badgers.
