Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

Depart Nairobi in the morning and travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley toward Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy spectacular views of the escarpment and surrounding countryside before continuing toward the park.

Upon arrival, enter Lake Nakuru National Park and enjoy a game drive as you make your way toward your lodge or camp. Check in and enjoy lunch before relaxing briefly.

In the afternoon, head out for an extended game drive through the park, exploring its forests, grasslands, and lake surroundings. Search for black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, waterbucks, and numerous bird species. Enjoy the beautiful Rift Valley scenery before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park before checking out and departing for the legendary Masai Mara. Continue through the scenic Kenyan countryside toward one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife destinations.

Upon arrival, enter the Masai Mara and enjoy a game drive as you travel toward your lodge or camp. Check in and enjoy lunch before taking time to relax.

Later in the afternoon, embark on your first game drive across the Mara’s vast golden plains. Search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and other wildlife. Between July and October, you may also witness the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Search for the Big Five and other iconic species while enjoying extensive morning and afternoon game drives. The Mara offers excellent opportunities to witness predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as large herds of elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests.

Enjoy a packed picnic lunch in the reserve, allowing you to maximize your time in the wilderness. Continue exploring until later in the afternoon before returning to your lodge for dinner and your second overnight in the Mara. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon or early evening and transfer to your hotel, residence, or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Your 4-day Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara safari ends with unforgettable memories of Kenya’s remarkable wildlife and landscapes.
