Day 1

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be warmly welcomed by a professional Clerisa Safari representative. From the airport, you will enjoy a comfortable private transfer to your accommodation in Arusha, allowing you to relax and settle in after your journey.

Once at the hotel, you will have time to check in, freshen up, and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s most renowned safari destinations. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to relax at the hotel or explore a little of the city at your own pace.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, we depart from Arusha and head towards Tarangire National Park, one of northern Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife destinations. Named after the Tarangire River that flows through the park, the area becomes especially important during the dry season, when wildlife gathers around its permanent water sources.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, magnificent ancient baobab trees, and beautiful landscapes of acacia woodlands and open grasslands. During our game drive, you may encounter elephants ranging from playful calves to impressive mature bulls, as well as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, buffaloes, warthogs, and other wildlife.

Bird lovers will enjoy Tarangire’s remarkable diversity, with numerous resident and migratory species throughout the park. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, we continue towards the Ngorongoro Highlands for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay at Eileen’s Tree Inn.

After an early breakfast, we drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. Often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World", this UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations, offering an extraordinary concentration of animals within its ancient volcanic caldera.

The crater provides excellent opportunities to see the endangered black rhino, as well as the Big Five, including the lion, elephant, buffalo, and leopard. You may also encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebra, hippos, hyenas, gazelles, and other fascinating wildlife.

Enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic picnic site before continuing your journey towards the legendary Serengeti National Park. Arrive in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay at Embalakai Camp, surrounded by the sounds and atmosphere of the African wilderness.

After breakfast at the camp, we set out for a full day of game viewing in the legendary Serengeti National Park. Renowned for its endless golden plains and abundant wildlife, the Serengeti offers some of Tanzania’s most spectacular safari experiences. As the country’s oldest national park, it forms part of one of the world’s oldest ecosystems, where nature has continued to thrive for millions of years.

During the game drive, keep your eyes open for lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, and many other species

A packed lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic picnic site before we begin our journey out of the Serengeti. We drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the lush Ngorongoro Highlands, arriving in time for dinner and an overnight stay at Eileen’s Tree Inn.

After breakfast, we take a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a final wildlife experience. As we enter the park, you may encounter large troops of baboons moving through the lush forest. Set between the Great Rift Valley and the alkaline waters of Lake Manyara, the park, is known for its diverse landscapes and rich wildlife.

Lake Manyara is particularly famous for its large elephant herds, which can often be seen wandering through the woodland. During the game drive, keep an eye out for giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, antelopes, and a remarkable variety of birdlife. With some luck, you may also spot the park’s famous tree-climbing lions resting in the branches.
A packed lunch will be served at a scenic picnic site before we drive back to Arusha for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Stone Town. Enjoy a relaxing evening, dinner, and overnight stay at Maru Maru Hotel.

After breakfast, begin your Zanzibar adventure with a visit to the historic streets of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its rich history, cultural heritage, and distinctive architecture. Explore the vibrant narrow streets before continuing north to Nungwi, one of Zanzibar’s most beautiful beach destinations.

Nungwi is renowned for its powdery white coral sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Its relatively gentle tides make it ideal for swimming, snorkelling, and enjoying the ocean throughout the day. The surrounding reefs offer excellent opportunities for diving and marine exploration, while deep-sea fishing excursions can bring encounters with tuna, dorado, kingfish, and marlin.

You can also enjoy a range of optional activities, including sunset dhow cruises, diving, snorkelling, beach walks, and parasailing. As traditional dhows sail across the horizon at sunset, the peaceful atmosphere captures the timeless beauty of Zanzibar.
