Day 1

After breakfast, your professional safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha for a short safari briefing before departing towards Tarangire National Park, approximately a two-hour drive away. Tarangire is renowned for its massive elephant populations, ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which serves as the primary water source for wildlife during the dry season. The park offers excellent opportunities to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and predators such as lions and leopards. You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park while overlooking the beautiful wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive. As the sun begins to set, you'll leave the park and drive to your comfortable lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you'll begin your journey towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park. En route, you'll pass through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the scenery changes dramatically from lush highlands to endless savannah plains. After breakfast, you'll embark on a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch, giving you maximum time to search for the Big Five and witness the park's abundant wildlife. Depending on the season, you may encounter the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeests and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Your experienced guide will use their knowledge to locate exciting wildlife sightings while sharing fascinating information about animal behavior and the Serengeti ecosystem. Return to camp in the evening for dinner beneath the African sky.

Rise early for breakfast before departing Serengeti with a final morning game drive as you make your way towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, descend approximately 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa's most remarkable wildlife destinations. The crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos, flamingos, and the endangered black rhinoceros. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the hippo pool while surrounded by spectacular scenery before continuing your afternoon game drive across the crater floor.
Later, ascend the crater walls and drive to your lodge in Karatu.

After an early breakfast, depart your lodge and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a memorable morning and afternoon game drive. Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is one of Tanzania's most scenic parks, renowned for its diverse habitats that range from lush groundwater forests and open grasslands to acacia woodlands and the alkaline lake itself. Later in the afternoon, exit the park and drive back to Arusha, where you will check in to your comfortable hotel. Spend the evening relaxing and reflecting on the incredible wildlife experiences of the past six days before tomorrow's excursion to Materuni Village.

Following the tour, begin your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). If your departure is from Arusha Airport or you have accommodation in Arusha, you will be transferred there instead.
