Zanzibar – Tarangire National Park – Ngorongoro Retreat

Your safari begins with a transfer from your hotel to Zanzibar Airport for your flight to northern Tanzania. Upon arrival, meet your professional safari guide, who will brief you about the journey before you depart for Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire is famous for its impressive elephant herds, giant baobab trees, and beautiful landscapes. During your game drive, look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and various antelope species. Lions and leopards may also be spotted depending on wildlife movements and the season.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Your guide will help you explore different areas of the park while sharing information about the animals, birds, and local ecosystem. In the late afternoon, you will drive to accommodation near the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Zanzibar

After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 metres into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. This remarkable natural landscape features open grasslands, acacia woodlands, wetlands, and a soda lake, creating an excellent habitat for diverse wildlife.

During your game drive, search for elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and numerous bird species. The crater is also one of the best places in Tanzania to look for the endangered black rhinoceros. Lions are frequently seen, while sightings of other predators depend on the day's conditions.

Enjoy a picnic lunch during your excursion before ascending from the crater. Afterward, transfer to the appropriate airport for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar. The departure airport and transfer arrangements will depend on the confirmed flight schedule.

Upon arrival in Zanzibar, transfer to your hotel, bringing your two-day luxury safari to a memorable conclusion.
