Transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast at the hotel, meet our professional safari driver-guide who will brief you about this safari before you begin the scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. The journey takes through beautiful countryside, terraced hills, rural villages and spectacular highland scenery. You have the freedom to stop the vehicle at any point to take photos. Since it's a long drive drive, you will stop for lunch lunch en route and also stretching your legs before continuing to your lodge in the designated gorilla trekking sector. Upon arrival, check in, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the rainforest.

Mountain Gorilla Trekking Experience

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast. Then, with your packed picnic lunch, you'll take a short drive to the park headquarters, where a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers is conducted. Once the registration is done, you will receive guidance on gorilla trekking rules, safety and responsible wildlife viewing before entering the forest. Thereafter, accompanied by experienced rangers and trackers, you begin the hike through the dense rainforest in search of Gorillas. The trek may take several hours depending on the gorillas' location and the terrain but it's all worth it.

Once you finally locate the Gorilla group, spend up to one hour observing their fascinating behavior, watching them feed, groom, rest and interact with their young.

After the trek, you'll be led back to the point where you started, and your guide will then drive you back to the lodge to relax. Depending on your energy, we will arrange a Batwa community for a cultural experience.

Breakfast and Return Journey

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before checking out and beginning the return journey to Kampala and Entebbe. Along the way, you'll be admiring the terraced hills and locals attending to their gardens. The journey will still be as long as your first day. Therefore, we will stop for the last lunch of this safari along the way and the Equator Line experience while taking your last shots in Uganda.

Thereafter, continue to Kampala and then Entebbe International Airport in the evening, marking the end of your memorable gorilla trekking safari.
