Day 1
Entebbe/Kampala – Kidepo Valley National Park
Entebbe/Kampala – Kidepo Valley National Park
Upon your arrival, you will be met by our guide, who will brief you about your 4-Day wildlife safari before departure to Kidepo Valley National Park. This 10h 11m (561 km) journey takes you through the changing landscapes of northern Uganda, with opportunities to see rural communities, traditional homesteads and the spectacular scenery of Northern Uganda. We will branch off in Nakasongola district to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a 1.5 to 2.5-hour rhino tracking. During this guided walking safari, experienced rangers will lead you into the bush to observe the rhinos at a safe distance. The project is a highly successful conservation effort, with the population expanding significantly from its initial six rhinos introduced in 2006. After the trek, we proceed to the highway cafe, where we shall have our lunch before proceeding to Gulu City. Being a long drive, nothing much to do just traveling to Gulu City for an overnight stay.

Proceed to Kidepo Valley National Park and afternoon game drive
Enjoy an early breakfast and then we depart Gulu via Kitgum road and head to Kidepo National Park for an afternoon wildlife exploration in the Narus Valley. We will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and enjoy a short rest before we begin our first game drive through the Narus Valley, one of the park's most productive wildlife areas. Kidepo is particularly well known for its lion population. Lions can often be encountered around the Narus Valley and other areas where prey congregates. The park is also home to leopards and cheetahs, although sightings of these more elusive cats are less predictable, as well as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hartebeests, jackals and numerous antelope species. Thereafter, return to the lodge late in the evening for dinner.

Day 3
Kidepo Game Drive & Karamojong Cultural Experience
Kidepo Game Drive & Karamojong Cultural Experience
Start the morning with another exciting game drive through Kidepo's wilderness (known for the Kanangorok Hot Springs and ostriches). The early morning hours offer excellent opportunities to observe wildlife as the animals become active in the cool temperatures. Kidepo Valley National Park hosts over 77 mammal species, including four of the Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, and buffaloes) alongside rare dry-country wildlife found nowhere else in the country. The dry Kidepo River and surrounding plains create an especially dramatic safari setting during the dry season. Thereafter, return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, visit a Karamojong community for a cultural experience. These people live in circular, thorn-fenced thorn-bush and mud villages called manyattas, which protect families and cattle from predators and raiders. Learn about traditional lifestyles, livestock keeping, traditional dances, music, and local crafts.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner.
