If timing aligns, you may have the opportunity to witness a traditional ceremonial dance or jumping-over-the-bulls event.

Turmi – Excursion to Omorate (Dassanech Tribe) & Karo Tribe

Drive south to Omorate on the banks of the Omo River, crossing by traditional dug-out canoe to visit the Dassanech people, known for their elaborate scarring patterns and nomadic pastoralism. In the afternoon, visit Korcho, a cliffside village of the Karo tribe—the masters of intricate body and face painting who overlook the sweeping curves of the Omo River.
