Nairobi to Masai Mara and two full safari days

Day 1: Depart Nairobi in your private pop-up roof 4x4 and travel to the Masai Mara for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Settle into Amani Mara Camp for three nights. Days 2 and 3: Explore the reserve on full-day game drives, taking picnic lunches to make the most of wildlife viewing time. Search riverbanks, woodland and open grasslands for lions, elephants, giraffes and plains game. Your guide follows current sightings and gives you time to watch animal behaviour. Migration movements depend on rainfall, and river crossings are never guaranteed. Return to Amani Mara for dinner each evening. Lunch, dinner and drinking water are included from day 1, with breakfast on days 2 and 3. Optional balloon flights cost extra.

Isebania crossing and Central Serengeti safari

Day 4: Depart early for the Isebania border, complete immigration formalities and meet your Tanzania guiding team. This is a long road-transfer day, with wildlife viewing en route as time and conditions allow. Continue to Olkarien Eco Safari Lodge for dinner and the first of three nights. Days 5 and 6: Spend two full days exploring the Central Serengeti in your private pop-up roof 4x4. Picnic lunches allow you to stay out near the wildlife rather than return to the lodge at midday. Search the kopjes and river valleys for big cats and watch elephants, giraffes and plains game. Your guide adapts the route to current sightings and explains the ecosystem. Return to Olkarien each evening. All meals and drinking water are included. Migration locations are seasonal and no sighting is guaranteed.

Serengeti game drive and Ngorongoro Highlands

After breakfast at Olkarien, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti in your private pop-up roof 4x4. Your guide balances time for sightings with the journey ahead. Take lunch along the way before continuing into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and its cooler highlands. Arrive at Naserian Safari Camp, part of Acacia Collections, for dinner and an overnight stay. This afternoon is for the road transfer and time at camp; your crater descent is tomorrow morning. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinking water are included.

Ngorongoro Crater safari and return to Arusha

Depart Naserian early after breakfast and descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive in your private pop-up roof 4x4. Explore the grassland, marshes and woodland with your guide, looking for lions, buffalo, zebra and, with luck, black rhino. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Enjoy a picnic lunch before ascending and driving to Arusha, where your eight-day safari ends. Breakfast, lunch and drinking water are included; there is no accommodation tonight. Please allow sufficient time for an evening flight or ask us to arrange an extra night in Arusha at additional cost.
