Nairobi to Lake Nakuru and The Cliff

Leave Nairobi in your private pop-up roof 4x4 and travel through the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive through the lakeshore grasslands and woodland. Look for rhino, buffalo, giraffes, antelope and birdlife as your guide explains the habitats. Flamingo numbers change with lake conditions, and large gatherings cannot be guaranteed. Continue to The Cliff Camp for dinner and your first overnight stay. Lunch, dinner and drinking water are included today. Please arrive in Nairobi before the tour begins so the morning departure and afternoon safari can run comfortably.

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara and a full safari day

Day 2: After breakfast at The Cliff, travel to the Masai Mara and enjoy lunch before an afternoon game drive in your private pop-up roof 4x4. Continue to Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp for the first of two nights. Day 3: Explore the Mara on a full-day game drive, taking a picnic lunch to stay close to the wildlife. Search the grasslands and riverbanks for lions, elephants, giraffes and plains game, while your guide follows current sightings and explains animal behaviour. Return to camp for dinner. All meals and drinking water are included during these two days. Migration movements and river crossings depend on the season and cannot be guaranteed. A balloon flight is available as an optional extra.

Isebania crossing and three Serengeti nights

Day 4: Leave early for the Isebania border, complete immigration formalities and meet your Tanzania guide. This is a long road-transfer day, with wildlife viewing en route as time and conditions permit. Continue to Olkarien Eco Safari Lodge for dinner and the first of three nights. Days 5 and 6: Explore the Central Serengeti on full-day game drives in your private pop-up roof 4x4. Picnic lunches allow you to remain out near the wildlife. Search kopjes, river valleys and grassland for big cats, elephants, giraffes and plains game, with your guide adapting the route to current sightings. Return to Olkarien each evening. All meals and drinking water are included. Wildlife and migration sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater and Naserian

Leave Olkarien early after breakfast and travel out of the Serengeti towards Ngorongoro. This is a substantial driving day, so the morning is focused on reaching the conservation area. After lunch, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon game drive in your private pop-up roof 4x4. Explore grasslands, wetland edges and woodland while looking for lions, buffalo and, with luck, black rhino. Sightings cannot be guaranteed. Ascend in time to continue to Naserian Safari Camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinking water are included.

After breakfast at Naserian, drive down from the Ngorongoro Highlands towards Lake Manyara National Park. Have lunch before an afternoon game drive in your private pop-up roof 4x4. Explore accessible areas of groundwater forest, woodland and lakeshore habitat while looking for elephants, baboons, giraffes and birdlife. Water levels and wildlife movements vary, and tree-climbing lions cannot be guaranteed. Continue to Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay overlooking the Rift Valley. Namanga crossing and a full day in Amboseli

Day 9: Leave Lake Manyara after breakfast and travel through Arusha to the Namanga border. Complete immigration formalities and continue with your Kenya team to Elewana Tortilis Camp Amboseli. This is a long transfer day, with no scheduled wildlife-viewing activity; settle into camp for dinner. Day 10: Explore Amboseli on a full-day game drive in your private pop-up roof 4x4. Take a picnic lunch and look for elephant herds, buffalo, giraffes and birdlife around the swamps and plains. Views of Mount Kilimanjaro depend on the weather and cannot be guaranteed. Return to Tortilis for a second night. All meals and drinking water are included during these two days.

Enjoy breakfast at Tortilis Amboseli before departing by private vehicle for Nairobi. Today is reserved for the road journey and departure arrangements, with no scheduled wildlife-viewing activity. Have lunch en route and allow enough time to reach the airport and check in for your onward flight. Your eleven-day Kenya and Tanzania safari ends in Nairobi, with no overnight accommodation tonight. Breakfast, lunch and drinking water are included. If your flight timing does not fit the road transfer, we can arrange an additional night in Nairobi at extra cost.
