Upon arrival at the airport (e.g., Kilimanjaro International Airport) or the bus station, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Arusha Tourist Inn. You will have time to rest, undergo a thorough gear check, and receive a comprehensive briefing in preparation for your trek. Accommodation: Arusha Tourist Inn.

Arusha to Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut

After breakfast, we drive to Arusha National Park's Momella Gate to begin the trek. The trail winds through a lush forest where you have a high chance of spotting wildlife such as giraffes, buffaloes, and warthogs. You will reach Miriakamba Hut (2,514m) for dinner and your first night on the mountain. Distance: 10 km | Hiking Time: 4-5 hours.

Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut

The trek continues on a steep trail through the forest, which gradually changes as the altitude increases, leading to Saddle Hut (3,570m). After arriving and having lunch, you can take a short acclimatization hike to the summit of Little Meru (3,820m) before returning to Saddle Hut for an early dinner and rest. Distance: 8 km | Hiking Time: 3-5 hours.

Saddle Hut to Socialist Peak (Summit) and return to Miriakamba Hut

Your summit attempt starts around midnight. This is the most challenging section, traversing the crater rim until you reach Socialist Peak (4,562m). After enjoying the spectacular sunrise and distant views of Mount Kilimanjaro, you will descend to Saddle Hut for breakfast and a brief rest, then continue down to Miriakamba Hut for the night. Distance: 5 km ascent, 13 km descent | Hiking Time: 10-12 hours.

Miriakamba Hut to Momella Gate to Arusha

After breakfast, you will enjoy a gentle descent through the forest and past waterfalls down to Momella Gate. Here, you will be awarded your summit certificate before our vehicle transfers you back to Arusha town or the airport for your onward journey. Distance: 10 km | Hiking Time: 2-4 hours.
